Orting Jr. Cardinal 3rd/4th Grade Winter 2025/2026 - Winter 2026

Welcome to 3rd and 4th Grade Recreation Basketball. The teams are divided into Boys and Girls and are grade based. 

We are part of the Puyallup Parks and Recreation League. We do hold all of our practices in Orting, but all games are played in a Puyallup School District Facility. Practices will begin first week of December, but games will not begin until after Winter Break and sometimes run through the 1st or 2nd weekend in March. There will be 2 practices per week and games on Saturdays. 

There is another form required for you to fill out to also register with Puyallup, there is no fee, but they require us to fill out their registration form for their records. This will be sent out to each player after you register with Orting. 

The registration cost will cover your child's fee to join the Puyallup Recreation League, Insurance our league has to cover to practice in our gyms and equipment for the season. Your child will be provided with a T-shirt from Puyallup Parks and Recreation.

Orting Junior Cardinals 5th-8th Grade 2025/2026 Season - Winter 2026

Welcome to the Orting Junior Cardinal Basketball Winter Select League. We are a part of the Puyallup Recreation Winter Select League. This league is based on Grade Level, you are able to play up a grade level, but we are not able to have players playing down a grade level. We will have all of our practices in Orting, but all of our Games are played at a facility within Puyallup School District. Our practices will begin the week of November 3rd and depending on our gym availability we usually practice 2 nights a week. Games usually begin the first weekend of December. Games may vary between Saturdays and Sundays, but always on the weekend. The season ends Mid to end of February depending on Playoff Status. We do not have control over the game schedule this is up to the Puyallup League Director. We have increased our Registration fee for this age group to include one tournament during the regular season. It is up to the Coach to determine a good Tournament fit for the team and will notify parents when this is planned after the game schedules are released.

Orting Basketball Academy / K-2nd - Winter 2025

Winter 2025–26 Season

Get ready for an exciting season of basketball with the Orting Basketball Academy for Kindergarten through 2nd grade! Our winter program is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game in a fun, supportive, and high-energy environment.

Each player will participate in:

• 8 total practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and basketball IQ

• 8 total games to apply what they’ve learned in real game settings

This program is a great introduction to the sport and a perfect way to build a strong foundation in basketball for our youngest athletes. All sessions are led by caring, experienced coaches who emphasize effort, improvement, and having fun.
